How to Use This Guide
Move through the eight films using the index on the left, arranged chronologically from A Foreign Affair (1948) to The Front Page (1974). You can follow the order or jump directly to any film you’ve just watched — each stop stands on its own.
Every film offers a summary, two interpretive lenses — Social & Political Critique and Women in Wilder’s World — key figures, and a reflection prompt. Watch the film first if you can; the lenses and prompts assume you’ve seen it and contain spoilers. Write your response in the box below each prompt: responses save automatically as you type, or click “Save response” to confirm.
When you’ve worked through the films, a final Closing Reflection invites you to draw the threads together across Wilder’s whole transactional world. Then open Portfolio to see all your responses compiled into a single document, which you can copy, download, or print.
Your Responses Stay With You. Everything you write remains in your own browser on your own device — nothing is sent anywhere, and no one else has access to it. Clearing your browser data will erase saved responses, so download or print your portfolio to keep it.
If this reads right, I’ll build the HTML next: single-track scaffold with the film index, both lenses per stop, autosave response boxes, the closing reflection, and portfolio compilation.
